Iran judiciary chief calls on Muslim nations to sever ties with Israeli regime

TEHRAN- Iran's Judiciary Chief Gholamhossein Mohseni-Ejei has urged Muslim nations to cut off ties with Israel and bring legal action against the occupying force in international tribunals for atrocities against the Palestinian people.

He said as much on Thursday in Tehran during a speech at an international conference about Palestine’s occupation.

“The least that the Islamic countries can do regarding today’s events in Palestine is to completely cut off their ties and trade with the Zionists, file lawsuits and complaints against the regime with international tribunals and organizations, and elaborate on and recount the Zionists’ heinous crimes,” he said.

Additionally, Mohseni-Ejei pointed out that it is the responsibility of all Muslim state jurists to investigate the legal challenges made to Israel.

“If we remain indifferent to the atrocities that are being committed by the Zionists in the Gaza Strip, we would we not be able to answer before God and history,” he added.

He further emphasized the gravity of Israel’s crimes, declaring that no principle of international law could adequately characterize Israel’s crimes against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.

He underlined that with full U.S. backing, the Zionists are committing the greatest atrocities against the Gazan people.

“Undoubtedly, the usurping and criminal Zionist regime is on the path to decline,” Mohseni-Ejei said.

He also emphasized the necessity of holding the U.S. responsible for providing Israel with all forms of assistance, including cash and weapons.

Mohseni-Ejei also conveyed his thanks to all the people, organizations, and nations that have denounced the heinous atrocities committed by Israel and its supporters and shown their solidarity for the oppressed Gazan people.

Last year since the beginning of the clashes, he slammed Israel’s continuous attacks against the Gaza Strip, saying the regime is committing crimes barely witnessed throughout history.

“The crimes that arrogant powers in the world, led by the United States, are committing in Gaza are unprecedented in history. However, the powerful forces of Hamas and other Palestinian resistance groups continue to stand firm even in the face of such heinous acts,” stated the official.

The judiciary chief added that Iranians’ resistance against the arrogant powers in the past decades, has further encouraged Palestinians to stand their ground.

“The resistance forces in Palestine have brought the global arrogance to its knees,” noted Ejei.

On October 7, when the Palestinian resistance group Hamas carried out an unprecedented operation against the usurping regime in punishment for its increasing atrocities against the Palestinian people, Israel launched its U.S.-backed genocidal attack on the beleaguered Gaza.

Since the onset of the conflict, the Tel Aviv regime has murdered at least 31,000 Palestinians, the bulk of whom were women and children, and injured 72,156 more.
