Longest-serving Iranian wrestling official Tavakol dies

TEHRAN – Mohammad Tavakol, honorary member of the United World Wrestling (UWW), died on Wednesday at the age of 89.
Tavakol was inducted into the FILA’s Hall of Fame in 2011.
He was also former member of medical, prevention and anti-doping department of the world organization.
Iran's Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs, Kioumars Hashemi, has extended the deepest sympathies to the Iranian people over death of Tavakol.
Tehran Times extends its deepest sympathy to Tavakol’s family, loved ones, and friends over his demise.
