He expressed hope for a swift introduction of the new prime minister and cabinet, urging them to commence their official duties promptly following the formation of the parliament.
Amir Abdollahian further addressed the issues agreed upon during his recent visit to Islamabad, underlining the crucial need for ongoing communication between relevant institutions in both countries to ensure the implementation of these agreements.
In response, Pakistani Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani extended his well wishes for Iran's upcoming March 1 election.
He emphasized Iran's significant position in Pakistan's foreign policy, highlighting the anticipation among the Pakistani populace for President Raisi's forthcoming visit to Pakistan.
Iran, Hungary FMs discuss bilateral ties
Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian and Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Peter Siarto engaged in discussions aimed at strengthening bilateral ties on Thursday.
The meeting, held in Tehran, covered a range of topics including politics, economy, science, culture, and significant regional and international issues.
Amir Abdollahian highlighted the joint economic commission and business conference held earlier on Thursday, emphasizing the growing relationship between Tehran and Budapest.
He expressed satisfaction with the timely convening of the economic commission and the agreements reached, stressing the importance of follow-up actions by relevant authorities.
Amir Abdollahian underscored the Palestinians' right to resist the occupation and condemned the crimes committed against them by the Zionist regime.
He urged all nations and international organizations to take responsibility for halting the regime's atrocities, referring to rulings by the Hague International Court.
Siarto expressed gratitude for the hospitality extended by his Iranian counterpart and commended the successful negotiations of the economic commission.
He noted that relations between the two nations were progressing within a framework of mutual respect.
The Hungarian diplomat expressed readiness to enhance political, economic, commercial, and parliamentary cooperation between the two countries.
He highlighted successful educational collaborations and stressed the importance of promoting scientific and academic exchange.
Siarto characterized the exchange of views with his Iranian counterpart on diplomatic solutions to prevent regional crises as positive and emphasized the need for responsible international action to prevent the escalation of conflicts in the region.
"Hungary is deeply concerned about the expanding crisis in the region, and we believe diplomacy must be employed to mitigate this perilous situation," Siarto concluded.
Later on Thursday, following his meeting with Siarto, Amir Abdollahian took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share insights from the joint economic commission session between Iran and Hungary, which was presided over by the Hungarian Foreign Minister and Iran's Finance and Economic Affairs Minister, Ehsan Khandouzi.
Moreover, he highlighted that his discussion with Siarto encompassed a range of international and regional affairs, including the ongoing conflict between Ukraine and Russia, as well as the persistent atrocities committed by the Zionist regime against Palestinians.
Amir Abdollahian emphasized the paramount importance of maintaining stability and security in the region, asserting that addressing the crisis necessitates acknowledging the root cause.
He underscored the global imperative of holding Tel Aviv accountable for its war crimes, stating that such actions cannot be justified or defended by any nation.
