Enemies' miscalculations will incur heavy costs, says Iranian commander
TEHRAN - Major General Gholamali Rashid, Commander of the Central Khatam al-Anbiya Headquarters, issued a stern warning, stating that Iran stands prepared to impose significant costs on any enemy that miscalculates its actions towards Tehran.
Addressing a conference, Major General Rashid emphasized Iran's vigilant monitoring of enemy movements, underscoring the nation's readiness to defend itself.
He highlighted the massive turnout of the Iranian people on Bahman 22, the National Day, describing it as an "epic display of national solidarity."
According to the general, the overwhelming presence of Iranians thwarted the media plots orchestrated by Western think tanks, sending a clear message to adversaries that the nation firmly supports the Islamic Revolution and will confront any threats against it.
He stressed that the people's participation in the Friday rally symbolized their commitment to safeguarding religion, Iran, and the Islamic Republic, even at the cost of sacrifice if necessary.
Turning to the significance of the upcoming elections, he characterized the late winter elections as the "most important political test" of the year, expressing optimism for a high voter turnout.
Regarding the responsibilities of the Central Khatam al-Anbiya Headquarters in countering enemy threats, he emphasized the continuous enhancement of the readiness of Iran's Armed Forces to adapt to future warfare scenarios.
"We closely monitor their movements and stand ready to respond to any miscalculations they may make," he asserted, adding that the country's Armed Forces are prepared to "strategically defeat" the enemy by choosing the appropriate time, place, and approach.
