Interior minister calls for greater facilitation of voter participation
TEHRAN- Iranian Interior Minister Ahmad Vahidi called on Saturday for greater facilitation of voter participation in the upcoming elections.
He emphasized the importance of countering enemy efforts to undermine public engagement in the democratic process.
Speaking at a conference, Vahidi highlighted the enemy's relentless efforts to manipulate public opinion and discourage participation. He characterized these actions as "psychological operations and cognitive warfare" aimed at weakening the Iranian people's resolve.
Vahidi also addressed the issue of corruption, noting that while the Islamic Republic is committed to fighting this scourge, the enemy attempts to portray it as a weakness. He attributed this mischaracterization to a lack of effective narrative-building.
He underscored the importance of active and informed participation in the upcoming elections as a means of strengthening democracy and responding to the enemy's attempts to sow discord.
In conclusion, Vahidi reiterated the need to facilitate voter participation.
