Iran boosts drone power amidst growing threats

TEHRAN- Iranian Air Defense Force Commander Brigadier General Alireza Sabahifard has stated that Iran's unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) capabilities are expanding in response to increasing threats.

Speaking on Saturday, General Sabahifard acknowledged the role of domestic technological advancements in bolstering Iran's defense capabilities.

"Thanks to this substantial development in other industries, we are observing significant progress in local technology," he remarked.

General Sabahifard underscored the crucial role of public support in neutralizing hostile foreign plots against Iran's sovereignty.

"The support of our people at various junctures has been the paramount element of the country's strength," he asserted.

Referring to the recent terrorist attack in Kerman, General Sabahifard condemned the perpetrators, characterizing the incident as a desperate act by Iran's adversaries.

"These terrorist attacks demonstrate the pinnacle of humiliation faced by the enemies," he declared.

General Sabahifard highlighted the superiority of Iran's indigenous drones in countering aerial dominance by some foreign nations.

"The advancement of drone technology plays a pivotal role in enhancing the combat and operational capabilities of air defense, and we are pursuing this matter diligently," he stated.

General Sabahifard reiterated that Iran's UAV advancement is progressing in line with evolving threats, and domestic technological progress in sectors like metallurgy, fiberglass, and composite materials is driving this advancement.
