50 nuclear medicine facilities will be opened in Iran by March 2025
TEHRAN - The Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) plans to establish 50 nuclear medicine facilities in the new Iranian calendar year, which will fall between March 2024 and March 2025.
Mohammad Eslami, the AEOI chief, broke the story while opening the first Diabetes Care and Plasma Therapy Center in Alborz province on Monday.
Eslami said the AEOI has centered its efforts on the commercialization of scientific and nuclear research in the health and social services sectors, ISNA reported.
Referring to the Alborz plasma therapy center which is using nuclear technology, Eslami said the current method is highly effective in treating diabetic ulcers.
The AEOI opened a nuclear medicine clinic in the city of Varamin, southeast of Tehran, last week.
“We are trying to expand the scientific and research services of the Atomic Energy Organization so that people can enjoy the benefits of the knowledge.”
