Iran calls for more effective measures to halt Israeli attacks against Gaza

TEHRAN- Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian, in a letter to the high representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, called for more effective measures in the face of the ongoing Israeli war crimes in the Gaza Strip.

In his letter, Amir Abdollahian praised Josep Borrell's recent positions regarding the need for a ceasefire and efforts to make it stable, as well as stopping the killing of civilians in Gaza and respecting international humanitarian law. 

He also commended Borell’s stance on sending aid to the homeless Gazans, and his condemnation of the violence by Zionist settlers in the West Bank.      

In his letter to Borrell, the Iranian foreign minister also called for more effective measures and steps to be taken in order to halt the Israeli war crimes and lift the blockade of the Palestinian enclave.  


Amir Abdollahian lauds D-8’s advocacy for Palestinian rights

Iran’s foreign minister has also conveyed his appreciation to Isiaka Abdulkadir Imam, the Secretary General of D-8 Organization, for his unwavering support for the people of Gaza.

In a separate letter, Hossein Amir Abdollahian warmly commended the joint statement issued during the latest D-8 Commission session. This statement notably exemplified unwavering support for the people of Gaza, reflecting a unified stance on the ongoing humanitarian challenges in the region.

The foreign minister also lauded the Secretary-General's endeavors in orchestrating the organization's initiatives aimed at upholding the rights of the Palestinian people.

The top Iranian diplomat reiterated the full support of Iran for the complementary actions taken by the D-8 Organization in solidarity with the Palestinian people. 

The letter underscored Iran's endorsement of D-8's strategies designed to assist the Palestinians, along with applying diplomatic pressure on the occupying regime to permanently halt attacks on Gaza, lift the enduring siege, and bring an end to decades of occupation.
