TEHRAN - Average daily gasoline consumption in Iran has reached about 110 million liters in the current Iranian calendar year (started on March 21) which is 13 percent more than the figure for the previous year, according to the managing director of the National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company (NIOPDC).

According to Jafar Salari-Nasab, currently, 110 million liters of gasoline are distributed daily, and despite the 13 percent increase in consumption there is no problem with the supply and distribution of gasoline in the country.

Back in August, Oil Minister Javad Oji said there are currently 4,400 active gas stations across the country.

The minister noted that despite the increase in consumption there is no concern about fuel supply.
