Killing of two Journalists further exposes Israel’s crimes against humanity: Iranian MP

TEHRAN – Iranian parliament member Mojtaba Zolnouri strongly condemned the killing of two journalists from the Lebanese Al-Mayadeen television.

During a press conference held on Wednesday, Zolnouri drew attention to the Zionists’s outrageous atrocities, lately resulting in the martyrdom of two journalists in southern Lebanon.

The correspondent Farah Omar and the cameraman Rabie Al-Maamari of Al-Mayadeen television were the latest victims of an Israeli shelling on the Tayr Harfa area in southern Lebanon.

Additionally, Zolnouri emphasized the severity of the threat posed by the Zionist regime. This threat, as Zolnouri observed, is not only to Muslims and Arabs but to the entire global community.

“The Zionists are clearly disregarding fundamental religious, moral, and international principles,” he added.

The lawmaker went on to provide alarming details about the deliberate targeting of civilians carried out by Israeli forces. He stated that women, children, non-combatants, journalists, healthcare workers, and students have all fallen victim to the Israeli brutal actions.

“The scope of these attacks extends beyond specific regions, reaching Gaza, Lebanon, Palestine, Syria, and various other locations,” he commented.

He stressed the crucial role of journalists in bringing these crimes to light and defending the innocent populations of Gaza, Lebanon, and Palestine.

Expressing deep regret, Zolnouri highlighted the unfortunate reality that some human rights activists choose to turn a blind eye to the crimes committed by Zionist forces, inadvertently supporting their atrocities.

The Iranian MP also urged the international community to take heed of these revelations and unite against the common threat posed by the actions of the Zionist forces.

The ongoing violence perpetuated by Israeli forces has had devastating effects on innocent civilians, particularly women and children.

The Israeli regime has been targeting hospitals, mosques, and crucial infrastructure continuously since the outbreak of the war on October 7 when the Palestinian resistance group Hamas launched a surprise operation in response to the occupying forces’s intensifying crimes against the Palestinian people.
