‘Domestic, foreign investment together strengthen economic base’
TEHRAN- A board member of Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines, and Agriculture (ICCIMA) believes that in addition to domestic investment, every country needs foreign investment to strengthen its economic system, and before any action, it should try to preserve its active units.
Stating that the economic development of any country depends on the entry of new capital, Abdollah Qobadi, the head of Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines, and Agriculture of Yasouj, called domestic and foreign investment together necessary and said: “Unfortunately, the production sector of the country has not been able to receive any facilities since [Iranian calendar year 1401] (ended on March 20, 2022) and in the form of the first paragraph of Note 18 of the budget law.”
Making the remarks in an interview conducted by the new portal of ICCIMA (otaghiranonline.ir), the official said: “It is undeniable that we need investment, and in fact, one of the components of economic development is investment, which must happen. On the other hand, no matter how much we encourage domestic investment, it does not mean that we will not need foreign investment; Both types of investment should be done to develop part of the economy, we have very good capacities in this area, including focusing on oil and gas, tourism, agriculture.”
