TEHRAN – Iranian director Omid Shams’ latest drama “Conjugal Visit” will go on screen at the 28th edition of the Rabat International Author Film Festival (FICAR – Festival International du Cinema D’Auteur de Rabat) in Morocco.

The film will compete with more nine movies from Germany, France, India, Lebanon, Syria, Cyprus, Bosnia, Poland and Japan in the main section of the festival, which will be held from November 10 to 17.

Starring Parinaz Izadyar and Hutan Shakiba, “Conjugal Visit” narrates the tale of Parvaneh, a girl who runs a perfume shop in Tehran's suburbs, while her father serves time in jail for theft. Farhad, a young teacher and Iraj's ally, collaborates with Parvaneh to perform some of her father's tasks. When Farhad expresses affection for Parvaneh, he requests that she visit him in prison.

The Rabat International Author Film Festival (FICAR) is dedicated to the author cinema, a true cinema of art and thought in all its forms, to brave films, demanding, intelligent, even radicals who destroy the clichés; films that have an urgency and a personal writing dedicated to humanity in all its forms.
