TEHRAN – Iranian Greco-Roman wrestler Pouya Dadmarz claimed a bronze medal in the 2023 World Wrestling Championships on Friday.

He defeated Kazakhstan’s Marlan Mukashev 6-3 in the Men's Greco-Roman 55kg.

Uzbekistan’s Jasurbek Ortikboev also won a bronze after beating Artiom Deleanu from Moldova 6-1.

Azerbaijan’s Eldaniz Azizli defeated Georgian Nugzari Tsurtsumia 13-4 in the final match.

The 2023 World Wrestling Championships are being held from Sept. 16 to 24 in Belgrade, Serbia.
