TEHRAN-The Iranian short animation “Feather” directed by Sadegh Javadi will take part in the 47th International Animated Film Festival of Espinho, also known as CINANIMA, slated for November 13-19 in Portugal.

A production of the Documentary, Experimental and Animated Film Center, “Feather” will vie at the international short film competition section of the festival, Mehr reported.
The short flick will be competing with 56 other works from various countries including France, Canada, Australia, Spain, Japan, Colombia, Greece, Italy, Germany, Brazil, China, and Portugal among others.
It tells the story of a father and a son who bet on a rooster, However, an unusual old man enters their lives and changes everything.
The festival is one of the most prestigious festivals, approved by Oscar Academy and ASIFA. The selected film will be qualified to be nominated for the Best Animated Short Film in Oscar.
This year’s edition of the festival received 3,700 films from 123 countries, among which 130 films have been selected to participate in different sections of the competition.
