Transportation expo kicks off in Tehran
TEHRAN - The sixth Exhibition of Transportation, Logistics, and Related Industries kicked off at Imam Khomeini Grand Prayer Campus (Mosalla) on Sunday, IRNA reported.
The opening ceremony of the exhibition was attended by Transport and Urban Development Minister Mehrdad Bazrpash and his deputies.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Bazrpash mentioned his ministry’s new approach to developing the country’s transport industry, saying: “The new approach of the Ministry of Transport and Urban Development is to make the transportation industry more technological and people-oriented, and in order to achieve this goal, we need the help of young experts and knowledge-based companies.”
The official noted that his ministry will take all the necessary measures to remove the obstacles in the way of developing the transportation industry, saying: “Detecting the challenges of the transportation industry is essential in various sectors including road, air, and maritime.”
Bazrpash further underlined the significance of the transportation industry exhibition, saying that holding such events is useful for measuring the technological capacity of the companies active in the industry.
As reported, 311 state-owned and private companies active in various fields including road, sea, air, rail, and transportation, road construction, technical and civil engineering as well as knowledge-based companies and startups are presenting their latest products and achievements in this three-day exhibition.
Various specialized panels and press conferences are scheduled to be held on the sidelines of the event.
