Iranian universities to hold Middle East-Europe Forum
TEHRAN – Five Iranian universities will hold the Middle East-Europe Forum (MEEF) from October 19 to 21 on Kish Island’s International Convention Center.
The forum aims to boost collaboration in translational research for sustainable future.
The organizers are the University of Tehran, Sharif University of Technology, Tehran University of Medical Sciences, Amirkabir University of Technology and Iran University of Medical Sciences.
As it is mentioned on the University of Tehran’s website, the hosting universities aim to establish and strength a network of key decision makers in the science systems of Middle Eastern and European research institutions and find solutions to overcome hurdles for collaboration.
Non-communicable diseases, renewable energy, water and smart cities are the main themes of the event.
Researchers and academics from different European countries including Austria, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Sweden and Switzerland will attend the event.
Participants from Iraq, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Palestine, Syria, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Yemen will also attend the forum.
The event aims to bring together a combination of decision makers, strategists, research foundations, universities, researchers and practitioners.
