Rezaee: U.S. to lose dignity if Trump’s sanctions, tariffs fail

TEHRAN – Mohsen Rezaee, secretary of Iran’s Expediency Council, said on Friday should U.S. President Donald Trump’s sanctions and tariffs moves prove fruitless, the U.S. would lose the very little dignity it has left in the world.

“Mr. Trump is fighting alone against the entire world. He is either increasing tariffs on the European Union, China and Canada’s products or imposing sanctions on countries like Russia, Iran and Turkey,” Rezaee said in a post on his Instagram page, adding that one cannot bite off more that they can chew.

He further said Trump’s warlike behavior has aroused fierce enmity against the United States, which could take America several steps back.
