TEHRAN – Iran’s government has named a number of locations for holding legal protests or gatherings in Tehran and offered conditions to allocate places in other cities as well, Mehr reported.
During Monday’s cabinet meeting headed by Vice President Es’haq Jahangiri, five stadiums, six parks and the northern side of the parliament (Majlis) were named for peaceful protests in Tehran.
The government will also allocate one location for protests in each city with a population of fewer than one million people and two locations in cities with a population of more than one million.
