TEHRAN – In preparation for the upcoming presidential and council elections, the Interior Ministry’s election headquarters officially started its work on Saturday.

Interior Minister Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli and officials from across the country attended the opening ceremony.

The presidential and council elections will be held on May 19.

This will be the twelfth presidential and fifth council elections following the victory of the Islamic Revolution in 1979.
