Non-oil exports via Iran’s Anzali Free Zone up 89%

Some 44 million dollars worth of non-oil products were exported via Iran’s Anzali Free Zone in the first six months of the current calendar year (ended September 22, 2011), showing 89 percent compared to the same period last year, the zone’s managing director stated.

Around 259 million dollars worth of goods were also transited via the zone in the mentioned period of time, Alireza Bahmani told the ISNA news agency.

Bahmani emphasized that the Anzali Free Zone has the potentiality to be turned into a hub of commodity exchange for the Caspian Sea states.
