Tehran center to showcase works from Persian Gulf Poster Festival

TEHRAN – Tehran’s Ferdows Cultural Center will be playing host to an exhibition of works competing in the 6th Persian Gulf Poster Festival, which will open on Wednesday.

The works selected for display, including posters, illustrations and typography works, will be judged by a jury, which includes members Finn Nygaard from Denmark, Orhan Ardahanli from Turkey, Serge Serov from Russia, Richard Doubleday from the United States, and Ebrahim Haqiqi and Mohammad Ardalani from Iran.

The top selected works will be awarded on the opening day, secretary of the festival Ardalani said in a press release on Monday.

The submitted works were chosen by a selection board that included artist Rafiq Elmansy from Egypt, Onur Askin from Turkey, graphic designer and illustrator Maria Papaefstathiou from Greece, and Arash Tanhai, Homa Delvari and Hossein Mohammadi from Iran.

The festival has been organized by the Art and Cultural Organization of Tehran Municipality in collaboration with several other foundations.
