TEHRAN – A collection of poetry composed by Academy of Persian Language and Literature Director Gholam-Ali Haddad-Adel was unveiled during a ceremony at Tehran’s Art Bureau.

Entitled “Still Again”, the book is published by the Art Bureau and contains all different types of poetry, the bureau reported on Monday.

“The publication of this collection took a long time. I know it is late for a person who is his seventies to publish his poems but I have my own reasons,” Haddad-Adel said at the ceremony.

“I wanted to publish poetry about the people and the characters I like. For a long time, I had tried to compose a poem about the Prophet Muhammad (S); I also composed a poem for (the third Imam of the Shia) Imam Hussein (AS) and now they are here in the book,” Haddad-Adel said.

“I had tried to be myself in this book, not to hide anything, and to compose poetry with my beliefs. I am whatever I have said here in this book,” he added.

“I thank God I am an Iranian and a Muslim, and that Persian is my language and can make use of a thousand of years of poetry as my ancient heritage. I also thank God I can communicate with all the thoughts and feelings that have been created over the past thousands of years in the Persian language-speaking regions,” he concluded.
