Summer is the most favorite season for travelling for most people. Families with school-age children are usually locked into peak-season travel of summer; however it is not the case with all.

In this article, we suggest some autumn destinations in Iran. Be a cherry-pick traveler and enjoy charms of autumn in different parts of the country. The colorful pleasant autumn is waiting for you!

------- Yush village: A poetic destination!

The scenic tranquil village of Yush in the northern province of Mazandaran is the birthplace of the father of Iranian blank verse poetry, Nima Yushij (1895-1960).

Located 105 km off the city of Amol, Yush is adorned with the parental home of Nima, which is entitled Museum of Nima.

Born Ali Esfandiari, Nima died of pneumonia in the Shemiran neighborhood in Tehran, but was buried in Yush, as he had willed.

You can also enjoy the unspoiled countryside of village, Yush River, fruit gardens and its several springs.

Enjoy some great scenic views while driving to Yush! Colorful trees, rustic houses, and beautiful hills are awaiting you on the sides of the road!

---------- Masal heights: Experience autumn in a paradise!

No! You don’t need to be mountain climber to enjoy paradisiacal sceneries and untainted nature in Olesbelangah countryside on Masal heights in the northern province of Gilan.

You can drive to this paradise! However, there is no electric power or water pipes there and the most important characteristic of this genuine paradise is that there is no network coverage or mobile data connection!

Some inns, most of them made out of woods, are also located in Olesbelangah for those who want to spend more days in this place.

------------- Yazd: A four-season trip in autumn!

Desert cities like Yazd are also a good choice for travelling during autumn.

You can experience pleasant mornings of spring, hot afternoons of summer, stunning sunsets of autumn and chilly nights of winter during your sojourn in Yazd.

Autumn is also the harvest season for almond, pistachio, and pomegranate in Yazd.

Meybod, which boasts several historical sites, is located near Yazd. You can enjoy walking in garden paths with brick houses during your visit to this historic city.

Don’t miss enjoy of swimming in hot springs of Lavij rural district, near the northern city of Nur in autumn! The village is bounded by Alborz Mountain and has a unique nature.

The city is equipped with pools with hot water. Trees play festival of colors during days of autumn in the place.

----------- Jandaq: Count stars in autumn nights!

Jandaq city in central Iran is bounded by deserts and mountains. The starry nights of the city attracts astrologers to the place.

Beside the starry nights, you can enjoy camel riding and wildlife watching during your stay at the place.

Rig-e Jenn is located near this city. It is a vast area of sand dunes in the middle of Dasht-e Kavir, Iran’s central desert in the border region of Semnan and Isfahan provinces.

It was not visited by old caravan travelers, as they believed it was a place wherein evil spirits live.
