Iran launches rapid reaction military drills

TEHRAN - The Iranian Army has started rapid reaction military drills in the western part of the country, IRNA reported on Monday.

The two-day drills are jointly organized by the Army’s Ground Force, Air Force, and the Khatm-ul-Anbia Air Defense Unit.
The Army Deputy Commander, Brigadier General Mohammad Mahmoudi, said “defensive, radar, and missile systems, Air Force bases, commandos, Army Air Force, and UAV units take part” in the rapid reaction exercises.

He added the drills will be carried out in “the real operational theater” and will involve bomber, combat, tanker, and transport planes as well as advanced radar, missile and artillery systems.
