TEHRAN – Iran’s Judiciary has dismissed reports that a top aide to former president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has been arrested.

In a press conference on Monday, Judiciary Spokesman Qolamhossein Mohseni-Ejei rejected as “completely false” reports about the arrest of former head of the president’s office Esfandyar Rahim-Mashaei, the Pars news website reported.

The remarks came after reports that the Ahmadinejad administration official had been summoned to court and arrested.
