Ledley King has another knee op

Tottenham club captain Ledley King has undergone surgery on his left knee.

King, who has been troubled by chronic knee problems throughout his career, had a minor operation called an arthroscopy on his left knee on Monday night.
Spurs said in a statement: ""Ledley King underwent a successful arthroscopy on his left knee last night.
""The defender is expected to rest for up to 10 days before progressing to full activity within a further 10 days.""
The surgery rules the defender out of the club's pre-season tour to South Africa, which begins on Tuesday.
King made just nine appearances last season, having signed a new deal in May 2010 that keeps him at the club until 2012. Jonathan Woodgate, a similarly injury-cursed defender, was released this summer and signed a deal with Stoke on Monday.
