Larijani meets Armenian counterpart in Yerevan

YEREVAN -- Iranian Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani held a meeting with his Armenian counterpart in Yerevan on Friday.

In the meeting, Larijani said implementation of joint projects will gain momentum through investment and called for expansion of political and economic cooperation.
The Armenian parliament speaker, for his part, said parliamentary cooperation can help lessen economic problems in the two countries.
Larijani left Tehran on Friday for a 4-5 day visit to Armenia and Kazakhstan. He is scheduled to hold talks with senior officials of these two countries on the latest regional developments as well as issues of mutual interest.
Larijani will head for Kazakhstan early on Sunday.
A number of officials including Hassan Qashqavi, the deputy foreign minister for consular affairs, are accompanying Larijani in this visit
