TEHRAN - Iran will give a crushing response to any attacks against the country, Army Commander Ataollah Salehi said in a message.

“Any plot (orchestrated) by internal and foreign enemies against the sacred system of the Islamic Republic of Iran will be fruitless like the past; and the sacred borders of the Islamic Republic and its valuable achievements will be immune from the foes' attacks,” Salehi said in his message, which was read out during a morning parade on Wednesday.
Elsewhere in the message, the commander pointed to the country’s progress in different scientific, aerospace and military areas, saying Iran has reached a stage that has no dependence on foreign states.
Salehi also stated that the Iranian armed forces have succeeded in making different military achievements during the last (Iranian) year (which ended on March 20), including manufacturing different types of missiles, air defense shields, destroyers, submarines as well as clamping down on terrorist groups and smuggling gangs affiliated to the hegemonic powers
