Iran, Poland Enjoy Extensive Facilities to Promote Cooperation

BONN Iran's Ambassador to Warsaw Mohammad Taheri met on Saturday with Head of the Polish Chamber of Commerce Andrzy Arendarski. In the meeting, Arendarski said that Iran and Poland enjoy extensive facilities which can help expand trade exchanges between the two countries. He also said that the recent visit of the Polish commerce minister to Tehran and formation of Iran-Poland Joint Economic Commission have prepared the ground for mutual cooperation.
According to the Iranian Embassy in Warsaw, the Polish official welcomed an invitation extended to him by his Iranian counterpart to visit Tehran, hoping that during his trip he would visit Iran's free trade zones and the Kish Island in particular. The Iranian ambassador briefed the Polish official on the latest economic development in the region and said that the Islamic Republic of Iran can act as a bridge between Poland and regional markets.
Iran and Poland can expand cooperation in the areas of oil, gas, petrochemical, agriculture and industry, he said. The Iranian ambassador also submitted the draft letter of understanding (MOU) for joint cooperation between the two countries chambers of commerce, hoping that during Arendarski's visit to Tehran Iran-Poland Joint Chamber of Commerce would be formed.
