TEHRAN -- Two poetry books by Indian Persian-speaking poets will be introduced during the seminar “Iran’s Contemporary Literature” on August 18 in the city of Aligarh, Northern India.

The anthologies contain selections of poetry by Mahmood Vali Alhaq Ansari and Rais Ahmad and are published by Iran’s cultural attaché office in India. The poetry was selected and corrected by Iran’s cultural attaché in India, Alireza Qazveh.
The two poets compose in both Persian and Urdu and their books can help introduce the poetry of Indian Persian-speaking people to the world.
Iran’s ambassador to India, head of Aligarh Muslim University, as well as several Iranian and Indian scholars are expected to attend the ceremony.
