TMCA to hold pottery workshops

TEHRAN -- Iranian master potters will be gathering at the Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art on Saturday to teach their craft and review the current situation of this traditional Iranian art form.

The master potters will attend seminars and hold several workshops during the four-day program. Interested artists will be making use of the knowledge and experience of the masters during the workshops where the situation of the art of pottery and the process of its development will also be discussed.
The workshops will be held at the open space of the museum daily. The seminars and lectures will be held at the conference hall where Iran’s history of pottery will be reviewed.
In addition, several experts and psychologists will be attending the sessions in which the role of pottery in people’s every day life will be discussed.
This is part of the program of the 9th Iranian Pottery, Ceramics, and Glassware Biennial. The 9th edition will be held in Semnan, which is located in northern Iran
