Greece keen to boost economic ties with Iran

TEHRAN – Greek Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Diplomacy Petros Doukas called for expansion of Greece-Iran economic cooperation in Athens on Thursday.

In a meeting with the Iranian ambassador to Greece Mehdi Honardoust, Doukas noted that Greek people and businesspersons are keen to “have further economic and trade exchanges with Iran.”
The ways to develop Iran-Greece economic ties were discussed in the meet, IRNA quoted a press release by Iran’s embassy in Greece published on its website.
“We want to develop ties with Iran in all fields like industry, agriculture, and tourism,” Doukas said.
Honardoust urged that Iran and Greece should make use of their potentials to expand relations.
He also said Iran is prepared to develop economic cooperation as well as have joint investment in the energy and tourism industry
