Isfahan children’s theater festival announces winners

TEHRAN -- The winners of the 15th Isfahan International Theater Festival for Children and Young Adults were announced on Saturday.
Golab Adineh, Manuchehr Akbarlu and Reza Fayyazi made up the jury who selected the winners at the festival that ran in Isfahan from October 7 to 11.Director Hamidreza Haji received the festival’s Grand Prix for “My Wonderful Friend” and Ahmad Soleimani’s “Where are you Hassanak?” won the Best Audience Award in the National Section.
In addition, the Iranian play “Millions of Smiles” won the Special Jury Award of the International Section and the Grand Prix of this section went to the “Grey Children” from Iran.
Veteran Iranian stage artist and children’s theater expert Mansur Khalaj was honored during the closing ceremony.
The following is a list of winners in the National Section:
* Best Poster and Brochure Designer: Roshanak Karimi for “O, Human Being” and Reza Rezaii for “The Kid Wants to Know”.
* Best Costume Designer: Ahmad Panahnejad for “The Dolls Are Not Jealous”.
* Best Stage Designer: Javad Mehmandust for “The Paper Flying”.
* Best Actresses: First prize went Aram Zanjani for her acting in “The Kid Wants to Know” and Maryam Akbari for “My Strange Friend”.
* Best Actors: Juya Purmashhur won the first prize and Pejman Roshan for their acting in “Me, the Cat and A Mouse”.
* Best Director: Ahmad Rezaii for “The Kid Wants to Know”.
The following is the list of winners in the International Section:
* Best Stage Designers: Hassan Arasteh and Mehdi Nikravesh for “Where are you Hassanak?” from Iran.
* Best Director: Mohammad Aqebati for “Oscar and the Pink Lady” from Iran
