TEHRAN (Press TV) -- Top Iranian military commander Rahim-Safavi says should Muslims be united, the Israeli regime could never occupy the Palestinian lands.

Attending a ceremony marking the 29th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution, Major General Yahya Rahim-Safavi, the Leader’s advisor on armed forces affairs, highlighted the importance and necessity of convergence for the world of Islam.
Pointing to the membership of 57 states in the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC), Rahim-Safavi asserted that even though convergence implies Islamic states, more than 70 million Muslims are living in Russia, 100 million additional Muslims are from China, and many Muslims are European and American.
“Had the Muslims been united, Palestine would not have been occupied by Israel. If Muslims become united today, Israel won’t stand on its feet for even one more day,” Rahim-Safavi observed.
Referring to the significance of the designation of the current year as the “Year of National Unity and Islamic Solidarity” by the Leader of Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, Rahim-Safavi said, “Muslims will make progress if they enjoy a collective defense.”
