SP Phase 10 platform installed

TEHRAN (PIN) – Offshore project of phases 9 and 10 of South Pars (SP) field has been completed as the last deck of Phase 10 was installed by Iranian experts.

According to the Oil Industrial Engineering and Construction Company (OIEC), the Phase 10 platform was successfully installed Saturday.
The SPD11 has been placed on pillars and all operations concerning Phase 10 deck have finished as its helideck and bridge have been installed.
The second deck of phases 9 and 10, SPD12, was loaded last month, said Pars Oil and Gas Company (POGC).
According to the company’s report, the deck weighs 2,350 tons.
The first deck was transported to the Persian Gulf on Nov. 18, said the POGC, adding the two decks totally weighed 4,700 tons.
It took Iranian experts 27 months to build the two decks, said the company, adding the country spent 240 million dollars to import the necessary parts and equipment in 95 packages in 15 months.
It said barges were used to install SPD12 on offshore jackets already placed 105 km off Assaluyeh coast.
Phases 9 and 10 are to produce 56 million cubic meters of gas per day.
