Qazvin to promote tourism, crafts capacities in Erbil
TEHRAN - Qazvin province is set to set up a special exhibit in Iraq’s Erbil, aiming to boost its international profile.
“Scheduled to run for four days, starting from July 30, in Kurdistan region, the exhibition will feature economic insiders and producers from the province, “said Qazvin’s director-general of cultural heritage, tourism, and handicrafts.
The directorate general, Alireza Khazaeli elaborated, will participate with a booth featuring two counters dedicated to handicrafts and tourism, showcasing the capacities in these sectors.
He noted that the exhibition will display works by artists in glass engraving, carpet weaving, woodturning, painting, gilding, traditional jewelry, blown glass, and wood inlay. “Additionally, calligraphy and painting workshops will be held,” Khazaeli stated.
The director-general further explained that another section of the booth will highlight the province’s tourism capacities, including historical, natural, and religious attractions. Accommodation facilities, and tourism package tours to the province, with participation from travel agencies, eco-tourism operators, professional associations, and experts, will also be presented to the visitors, he added.
