Eight cultural heritage experts honored as eternal figures
TEHRAN – In a Tehran ceremony held on Tuesday, eight cultural heritage professionals were honored for their significant contributions to the field during a ceremony.
The event marked the third occasion to celebrate veterans and eternal figures in the realms of restoration, cultural heritage, and archeology, witnessing the attendance of the Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts Minister Ezzatollah Zarghami.
“A society which is grateful for its treasures.” Ali Darabi, the cultural heritage deputy chief, shed light on what the event is aimed at. “is obliged to its historical identity.”
The cherished eternal figures included the late PhD Sadegh Malek Shahmirzadi, a renowned archaeologist, and PhD Abdolmajid Arfaei, a respected researcher and expert in ancient languages.
Also honored were PhD Ahmad Jalali, former Iranian ambassador to UNESCO and faculty member at Allameh Tabataba’i University, and PhD Fakhri Daneshpour-Parvar, a distinguished archaeologist.
In addition, PhD Mahdi Rahbar, an archaeologist, researcher, and historical properties conservator, was recognized, along with PhD Mohammad-Mansour Falamaki, a veteran in restoration and architectural education.
Engineer Ahmad Montazer, noted for his work in restoring historical properties, and Engineer Behrouz Vojdani, a music researcher and cultural heritage veteran, were also celebrated for their significant contributions.
In another part of the event, the attendees paid homage to the late Iranian president, Seyyed-Ebrahim Raisi, who was martyred in a helicopter crash last month, naming him as a true cultural heritage supporter.
