Iran’s cultural gift fascinates Bolivian ambassador
TEHRAN - Bolivian ambassador to Iran Romina Guadalupe Pérez Ramos has shared insights about her favorite Iranian cultural souvenir in an interview with IRNA, stating, “Miniature paintings may be particularly captivating for me.”
When asked about her ideal cultural souvenir from Iran, the envoy expressed her fascination with various aspects of Iranian culture discovered during her travels across the country. She remarked, “I’ve explored different parts of Iran, seeking what aspects of Iranian culture resonate with me and could serve as a memorable souvenir.”
She added that Iran’s culture encompasses numerous significant products and elements. “Miniature paintings may be particularly captivating for me.”
“As an ambassador, it’s crucial for me to study and become familiar with these cultural aspects. Traveling to different Iranian cities, I’ve found cultures that date from the pre-or-post-Islamic eras filled with essential aspects that require attention.”
Elsewhere in her remarks, Ramos emphasized the strong public diplomacy between Iran and Bolivia, aiding in bolstering bilateral relations. Regarding cultural cooperation between Iran and Latin America based on their ancient history and civilization, Ramos noted, “Collaborations between Iran and Latin America, rooted in their ancient history and civilization, can greatly reinforce mutual ties. Just as Iran boasts Persepolis and Takht-e-Jamshid, Bolivia has its own rich ancient civilizations. Strengthening connections based on this cultural and historical heritage can enhance our cultural ties significantly.”
Ramos concluded, “The cooperation between Iran and Latin American countries can be significantly strengthened through their shared ancient history and civilization. Just as Iran possesses Persepolis, Bolivia also boasts its own rich and ancient civilizations, forming the basis for enhancing our cultural connections.”
At present, a total of 13 cities and three villages in Iran have been registered by the World Council of Handicrafts as “world cities of handicrafts”. The World Crafts Council is a non-profit, non-governmental organization that was founded in 1964 to promote fellowship, foster economic development through income-generating craft-related activities, and organize exchange programs, workshops, conferences, and exhibitions.
