TEHRAN—Several restorers and cultural heritage experts from Iran and Russia have been invited to bring together in-house expertise at a binational conference to be held in downtown Tehran.

Six Russian experts and three Iranian counterparts will deliver lectures at the event to be held on Monday, CHTN reported.

Co-organized by the Research Institute of Cultural Heritage and Tourism and the Russian Association of Restorers, the conference will touch upon themes related to historical monuments and sites as well as urban textures, the report said.

Both Iran and Russia have contributed significantly to the world's history and culture.

Their cultural heritage that is deeply rooted in history is not only limited to architecture and landmarks but also gorgeous traces of literature, handicrafts, music, and arts, to name a few.

Iran, formerly known as Persia, has been home to many great empires, such as the Achaemenid Empire and the Safavid Empire, which have left their mark on the country's architecture, art, and culture. Iran is also home to many iconic landmarks, such as the ancient city of Persepolis, the Golestan Palace, and the holy shrine of Imam Reza (AS), which are all testament to the country's rich cultural heritage. However, Iran's cultural heritage is not without its challenges. Many of the country's historic landmarks and buildings need restoration, and there is a risk that they may be lost forever if action is not taken. The Iranian government has recognized the importance of preserving the country's cultural heritage and has invested in restoration projects to ensure that these landmarks are preserved for future generations.

From the grandeur of the Tsars to the Soviet era, Russia has a diverse and fascinating history that has left its mark on the world. The country is home to many iconic landmarks, such as the Kremlin, St. Basil's Cathedral, and the Hermitage Museum, which are all testament to the country's rich cultural heritage. Russia has been home to some of the world's greatest writers, such as Leo Tolstoy and Fyodor Dostoevsky, and composers, such as Tchaikovsky and Rachmaninoff. Russian art is also renowned for its unique style, with artists such as Kandinsky and Malevich making significant contributions in the world of art.

For the two countries, it is highly essential to prioritize the restoration of their historical sites to ensure that future generations have the opportunity to learn about and appreciate their unique histories and cultures.
