Three Iranian universities among world’s top for graduate employability

TEHRAN – Three Iranian universities are among a total of 550 institutes worldwide listed in the Graduate Employability Rankings 2022.

The QS World University Rankings portfolio, inaugurated in 2004, has grown to become the world’s most popular source of comparative data about university performance.

Each of the universities has demonstrated an ability to produce graduates with the 'soft skills' required for the modern workplace.In 2015, in an attempt to meet student demand for comparative data about the employment prospects offered by prospective or current universities, QS launched the QS Graduate Employability Rankings. The unique methodology consists of five indicators, with three that do not feature in any other ranking.

The employer reputation metric is based on over 50,000 responses to the QS Employer Survey and asks employers to identify those institutions from which they source the most competent, innovative and effective graduates.

Each of the universities has demonstrated an ability to produce graduates with the 'soft skills' required for the modern workplace.

In 2022, the Sharif University of Technology and the University of Tehran, with a rank in the range of 301-500, were listed among the top 500 universities in the world for the first time in this field, and the Amirkabir University of Technology was also ranked in the +501 category.

In the first year of the ranking, 300 universities worldwide were included in the evaluation. In 2022, 550 universities from 78 countries were producing the most employable graduates.

Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) received a perfect score of 100, retaining the top spot. MIT was followed by Stanford University and the University of California in second and third respectively.

Performance in 2022

According to the latest edition of the best global universities ranking released by U. S. News, 52 Iranian institutions were ranked among the best institutions worldwide.

Fifty-eight universities from Iran were listed among the top universities in Asia, according to the 2022 Asia University Rankings of the Times Higher Education.

The 2022 edition of the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings, based on universities’ contributions to delivering the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), listed 27 Iranian universities.

The Webometrics Ranking of World Universities 2022 has ranked 694 Iranian institutions among 30,000 top universities across the world.

Also, 59 Iranian universities have been listed among the top 3,000 institutions in the world in terms of academic quality, according to the 2021-2022 report released by University Ranking by Academic Performance (URAP).

The Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) Graduate Employability Rankings 2022 list has been released, which included three Iranian universities out of a total of 550 institutes worldwide that highlighted graduate employment processes.
