Private sector invests $3.2m in tourism sector of Markazi province
TEHRAN – The private sector has invested 976 billion rials ($3.2 million) in the tourism sector of the central province of Markazi over the last year, the deputy provincial tourism chief has said.
This investment flow created over 1,100 tourism-related job opportunities across the province, Seyyed Hassan Hosseini explained on Monday.
During the mentioned time, five eco-lodge units, two tourist complexes, a guest house, and a traditional accommodation center were inaugurated in different cities of the province, the official added.
Markazi province is considered the industrial capital of the country. It is rich in natural, historical, cultural, and religious attractions.
Hand-woven carpets and klims, made in its cities including Farahan, Sarugh, Lilivan, Senejan, and Vafs are known internationally.
