Iran, Turkey ink MOU on health, medical care
TEHRAN- Iran and Turkey signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to expand bilateral cooperation in the area of health and medical care, IRNA reported on Thursday.
The MOU was signed by Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavu?o?lu. The two sides also signed an MOU on media and communication, but no further details about their content were revealed.
The agreements were made over the trip of an Iranian high ranking delegation led by President Hassan Rouhani to Turkey.
The Iranian president arrived in Turkey on Thursday to attend the 5th Session of the High Council of Iran-Turkey Strategic Relations.
Earlier this month, Iran’s Salamat health insurance organization and Turkey’s Medofas Medical also signed an MOU to collaborate on developing their healthcare systems through the use of information technology and electronic infrastructures.
