TEHRAN – Iran’s cultural heritage body is going to launch a handicrafts exhibit in Beirut in late Iranian calendar month of Azar (mid-December).
The exhibit will put on show works by artisans who are natives of Qom province, CHTN reported.
Carpeting, marquetry, woodcarving, tilework, pottery, stonework and personal ornamentation are amongst works selected for the event.
“We are hoping that that crafts exhibit will lay the ground for cooperation in the field of tourism between Iran and Lebanon,” said Hamid Yazdani, the provincial tourism chief, on Wednesday.
Dozens of handicrafts from Iran have gained UNESCO Seal of Excellence over the past couple of years.
