TEHRAN – Iranian researchers have discovered an Iron Age tomb in Germi county, northwest Ardebil province.

“The tomb dates a time between 2500 to 3000 years ago and it belongs to a child who was between 5 and 7 years old,” CHTN quoted Nader Fallahi, the provincial tourism chief, as saying on Saturday.

The tomb was unearthed in a survey which probes the history of settlements in Yel Suyi, a ruined site majority of which is associated with the early Islamic era, the official added.
