Judge sentence poachers to plant trees

TEHRAN — An Iranian judge has sentenced two poachers to plant 400 trees in Hamoun wildlife refuge, southeastern Iran, Mehr news agency reported on Friday. 

Chief of Sistan-Baluchestan department of environment Vahid Pourmardan explained that the two poachers were arrested by the rangers due to carrying illegal haunting equipment.

The judge has sentenced the two poachers to plant 200 saplings in Hamoun wildlife refuge as well as 57 months of imprisonment, Pourmardan concluded.
