TEHRAN – After eight years of halt, the International federation of Muslim women’s sports restarted its work here on Saturday.
The plan was approved by the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs and the National Olympic Committee, IRNA reported.
The federation aims at developing, strengthening and boosting the identity of Muslim women’s sports, considering the cultural and religious limitations.
The international federation of Muslim women’s sports was established in 1990, but was closed down in 2010.
