Health projects worth $2.6m to be inaugurated
TEHRAN – Iranian Health Minister Hassan Qazizadeh-Hashemi will inaugurate 21 health, medical and educational projects valued at 110 billion rials (about $2.6 million) next Monday in Semnan province.
Qazizadeh-Hashemi is also scheduled to open a diagnostic nuclear medicine center, which is said to be one of the most advanced and equipped centers of the kind in the country, ISNA quoted Navid Danaei, Semnan University of Medical Sciences caretaker chancellor as saying.
A non-government charity group has invested 40 billion rials (nearly $1 million) to establish the aforesaid center, he added.
Also an education and research project affiliated with the Semnan University of Medical Sciences will come on stream during the health minister’s one-day trip, he stated, adding that some 10 billion rials (about $240,000) has been spent on the project to get off the ground.
