Tehran, Vienna agree to boost medical ties

TEHRAN – Iranian and Austrian authorities inked a number of agreements on Friday for cooperation on building hospitals and medical equipment.

Iranian deputy health minister Mohammad Baqer Larijani, heading a delegation including provincial officials, traveled to Vienna on April 12-13, ISNA reported. 

Boosting bilateral cooperation in medical education, discussing health informatics and e-health solutions so as to improve the quality and efficiency of health care were among the objectives of the agreements.

The Iranian delegation also paid a visit to Vienna General Hospital, Also known as AKH and one of the most innovative clinics in Europe with long 300-year history.
