TEHRAN – Hundreds of Iranian rural and nomadic people are promoting their everyday life in a vast exhibit, which opened this morning at the Tehran Permanent International Fairgrounds.
Natives of 430 counties from 31 provinces take part the event, showcasing handicrafts, traditions, souvenirs, agricultural products and their indigenous dishes among others, IRIB reported on Sunday.
The showcase also includes workshops, ritual performances and regional games aimed to empower local communities and demonstrate their capacities, the report said.
About 35 percent of handicrafts made during the current Iranian calendar year (started on March 21, 2017) are created by the nomads, Mehr reported.
