KFZO seeks enhanced banking, tourism ties with Oman
TEHRAN – Iran’s Kish Free Zone Organization seeks to deepen cooperation with Oman in banking and tourism sectors.
During a two-day visit to Muscat, Mohammad-Ebrahim Ansari-Lari, the managing director of Kish Free Zone Organization, exchanged views with authorities of the National Bank of Oman, the Bank Muscat, the Bank Dhofar, and Alizz Islamic Bank, IRNA reported on Saturday.
Officials of the Omani banks preliminarily agreed on establishing branches in Kish, while opening accounts of Kish Airline in the cited banks and issuing credit cards for economic entrepreneurs in Kish and other free zones of the country.
During separate meetings with prominent Omani merchants, Ansari Lari also tapped into vast potentials of Kish for spurring foreign investments.
In the arena of tourism, the director of Kish Free Zone Organization announced that direct flights connecting Kish to Muscat will soon be launched.
